A gorgeous spring inspired crochet heart with a lot of potential!

As February draws to a close, we find ourselves at a unique juncture – bidding farewell to winter’s chill while eagerly anticipating the arrival of spring’s warmth. With Valentine’s Day serving as a delightful midpoint, this month has been a celebration of love, creativity, and the promise of new beginnings.
Valentine’s Day, often associated with chocolates, roses, and heartfelt sentiments, also presents an opportunity for crafters to showcase their skills and shower their loved ones with handmade gifts. Crochet enthusiasts, in particular, relish in the chance to create unique and personalized tokens of affection.
So if you are looking for a nice and quick pattern as a gift-a free crochet heart pattern-here’s what you need!

For the base of this pattern, I used my Elloth Granny Square which is FREE on the blog. Find it HERE.

Work 4 double crochet (DC) stitches in the same stitch. Drop the loop from your hook and insert your hook from front to back under the top 2 loops of the first double crochet of the group. Grab the dropped loop with your hook and pull it through the stitch, chain 1 to close. (chain 1 doesnโt count as a stitch)

Additional notes:
- CH 1 does not count as a stitch, unless stated otherwise.
- US terms used throughout.
- At the end of every round, thereโs going to be a note with the stitch count, so you can keep track of your work easily and avoid any mistakes. Itโs written in a different color, in bold.
