Mythia CAL info

Hello and welcome to the Mythia Crochet Along!

If you are following me on my social media platforms, you may know that I will run a CAL soon. This is my most anticipated CAL and a design I’ve worked on for a long time, almost 3 years!

I am over the moon by all of your lovely responses and the interest you’ve shown. However, I feel so excited and nervous about it at the same time.

With all the things happened to me this year already, I wanted to be positive and spread joy and creativity.

You can use fingering or DK weight yarn instead but that’s going to affect the yarn quantities needed and note that the finished size of the blanket will be different.

  • Yarn needle for weaving in ends
  • Scissors
  • Stitch markers (optional)
  • NOTE: Blocking is essential to enhance the lacy, textured patternwork of your blanket

My friend, Doris offered me to create kits for this CAL which I’m really grateful for!

There are two options of the kit:

  • A Scheepjes Stone Washed Kit, containing 44 skeins of colorful yarn which is enough to create the full blanket. (IMPORTANT: Please note that due to stock availability two colors have been changed to a similar shade. Turquoise-824 has been swapped to Green Agate-815 and Rhodochrosite-835 has been swapped to Tourmaline-836. Alternatively, you can wait until August when those two colours will be restocked by the manufacturer and buy the kit with the original colors.)
  • A Scheepjes Colour Crafter Kit as a cheaper option for those who don’t want to use the original Stone Washed option. (Please note that Colour Crafter is DK weight, so your finished blanket will be bigger.)

Get the Stone Washed Kit HERE (You have wait until restock to get the original colors):

Intermediate. Although, this is an intermediate/advanced pattern, advanced beginners can join in too as the pattern will have CLEAR and EASY TO UNDERSTAND instructions with a full step-by-step photo tutorial.

Also, I will include several links to my support videos on YouTube.

You can find my YouTube Channel HERE!

However, if you use different yarn weight (dk or aran), the finished size will be bigger.

Gauge: Not critical for this project but may affect the yarn quantities required.

The finished size will also differ if you have a loose or tight tension.

Don’t get stressed about the time frame. It’s all about the joy of crocheting, so if it takes more time to complete each part it’s still okay! This is not a race. It’s a journey, our journey together to create something unique and beautiful with or creativity. 😊 💕

You can get the materials to be prepared for the start now. Also, I have some great news for you: For this CAL, you can buy yarn kits HERE!

This will be a written pattern only with no charts. However, the pattern will have a full step-by-step photo tutorial with some close-up photos and links to my support videos on YouTube.

Before the start date, feel free to join my Facebook group where you can get some extra support from me and some other wonderful members of the team. You can join HERE.

The pattern will be also available to buy in a PDF format from my Ravelry store HERE.

If you choose to buy the PDF pattern file, you only have to pay once and you’ll be able to download the files of the parts as soon as they are available. I will upload the parts on the release dates (shown above) and after all parts released, I’m going to merge the parts in one file and upload that too.

Thank you so much for your time to read through this information! I can’t wait to start and see all your beautiful creations!

With Love,

Krisztina
