Eleniel Twisted Headband

It’s DAY 2 of the One Headband Pattern Each Day for a week event!

Today, you can make a beautiful and easy pattern, the Eleniel Twisted Headband!

It’s super easy and great for beginners as you only need to know the basics: single crochet and double crochet stitches!

This is a perfect match to my Eleniel Beanie so you can make cool gift sets using these patterns!

Difficulty:                           Easy/Advanced Beginner

Finished Size:

Adult Small but it can be easily adjusted to any size and width

Materials needed:

  • 5 mm (H) size hook (I used Cream Streamline by Furls)
  • 35 grams, 70 yards/65 meters of Aran/Worsted weight yarn (I used Paintbox Yarns Simply Aran in Pistachio Green shade)
  • Yarn needle for weaving in ends
  • Scissors
  • Stitch markers (optional)

Stitches Used and Abbreviations:

CH = chain

ST = stitch

SP = space

SK = skip

SC = single crochet

DC = double crochet

{ } =indicates how many stitches go into the same stitch or used to repeat a small set of instructions between these brackets the number of times given

 [ ] = used to repeat a longer set of instructions between these brackets, the number of times given

Gauge: 4 SC = 1”

Additional notes:

  • If a row starts with a CH 1, that is not counted as a stitch.
  • CH 2 always counts as double crochet.
  • US terms used throughout
  • At the end of every row, there’s going to be a note with the stitch count, so you can keep track of your work easily and avoid any mistakes. It’s written in a different color in bold
  • Notes are written in a different color in (brackets) to help you through the pattern.
  • You can start each row as I did in the pattern or you can use a standing stitch or chains, it’s totally up to you!
  • You can easily adjust the width of your headband: the starting chain should be multiples of 7+3 chains
